Question: What do customers love even more than fresh-roasted coffee?
Answer: Convenience.
In fact, convenience is one of the four elements of the Buying Hierarchy, first described by the Windermere Associates business consulting firm in California; it’s right up there with product reliability and functionality (and cost, of course.) People want a good, solid product at a good, solid price that doesn’t slow them down.
In fact, if you don’t mind a little anecdotal evidence, the number one thing I hear customers say when describing how much they love their new single-serving coffee machine (such as the wildly popular Keurig, et al) is, “It’s just so convenient.”
Enter the Perfect Pot! Each package holds just 1.5 ounces (42.5 grams) of fresh-roasted, pre-ground coffee—an ideal amount for a single pot of coffee, or 8 to 10 cups depending on how strong you like it. And, unlike with K-Cups, this coffee be made in just about any type of brewer. These are more than last-minute impulse buys (although they work well for that, too); this is a fantastic way to let ’em try every flavor, blend and varietal you carry and discover the new must-have that brings them back again and again. And as far as stocking goes the Perfect Pots are ultra-convenient for you, too: stack them in a shelf, fan them out in a decorative container or hang them up with clips or by punching a hole in the top seam.
What else can your customers do with a Perfect Pot? Here’s a few ideas:
- Include them in goodie bags and gift baskets.
- Stuff them in Christmas stockings.
- Keep a handful at the office or in a purse. (Personally I keep a few in my locker at school, as an alternative to the art department lobby's colossal vat of Folgers.)
- Party favors!
- Take them on camping trips.
- Take them on non-camping trips (no more hotel coffee!)
- Give your coffee-drinking friends options when they stop by for a cup.
- Keep a pot of decaf on hand for late-night coffee emergencies.
What else can you do with a Perfect Pot?
- Corporate and “thank you” gift baskets.
- BOGO (or similar) sales.
- Put your logo on each one (we do that!) and hand them out as a promotional item.
- If you’re a mail-order business, toss one or two (they’re light!) in with each order as a free gift.
- Throw one in if you sell cups, brewers or other coffee equipment (“Buy a mug, get a free pot of coffee!”)
- Bundle them with other products that go well with the bean—for instance, if you sell different kinds of cookies, pair each flavor with its own coffee (you can rename them whatever you want!)
The Perfect Pot is available in a huge variety of bag colors and label designs (including private label) and just happens to be our best-selling pre-packaged coffee.
It can be yours, too!
